Die Organspendebereitschaft in Deutschland geht massiv zurück. Während es in ganz Deutschland normalerweise mehr als 100 Organspenden pro Monat gibt, ist die Zahl im Oktober auf weniger als 60 gesunken, wie NDR Info berichtet. Die Deutsche Stiftung Organtransplantation (DSO) sieht inzwischen einen klaren Zusammenhang mit den Transplantationsskandalen in München, Göttingen und Regensburg.

Der medizinische Vorstand der DSO, Günter Kirste, sagte dem Radiosender, dass das Vertrauen in das System erschüttert sei. Diese Erkenntnis hätte die DSO aus Gesprächen mit Angehörigen gewonnen. "Die sagen uns das ganz deutlich, eigentlich wüssten sie, dass der oder die Verstorbene eine Organspende befürwortet hätte. Aber nach dem Bekanntwerden der Skandale sind sie nicht mehr einverstanden", erklärte Kirste.
